The Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
Stanly Community College participated in the Veterans History Project in early 2005 by recording a series of videos with WWII Veterans from Stanly County. SCC was one of approximately 15 sites in NC that were actively involved in recording the WWII Veterans' personal stories.
