Make sure to verify any information you plan to use for your classwork (or for life in general)!
You can follow these simple steps, which are also described in the video above, to double-check your information for accuracy and quality:
T - Timeliness (or Currency) - Check the date! Is your information really old, really new, or something in-between? You typically will want to use current resources as references for any schoolwork.
R - Relevance - Is the information relevant to you and your purpose(s)? Is it too basic, or too advanced?
A - Authority - Is the information provided by an expert in the field, or just someone's weird uncle who started a blog on the topic?
A - Accuracy - Can you verify the information from multiple sources, or are you only finding it on one or two sites?
P - Purpose - Does the source of this information have an agenda that they are pushing, or want others to subscribe to? Does the information match YOUR purpose?
